The book teaches Arabic according to a modern, efficient method: It’s not learning the structure and grammar and some useless words by heart. It’s talking, talking, talking, and acquiring the language like a baby (= by listening) rather than a student. Grammar and other ‘enemies’ are taught in passing rather. I can only recommend every language teacher to use this text book for the class. Unfortunately, not all grammar structures are self-explicatory in the book, therefore a knowlegable teacher is needed.
The system works as follows: Volume 1 is only a short booklet that teaches you how to write and some basic phrases that you will encounter in the Arabic world and that are easily combinable with all sorts of words, but no grammar at all.
