The Nile perch is a lonely fish. Large and intimidating, it tries to make friends with the other Nile residents. But the hippo, puffer fish, electric catfish and even the crocodile all swim away. But when the lonely perch pursues the crocodile, it learns the danger of basing its self-worth upon the opinion of others. Based on an Anywaa (Anuak) folktale, this story teaches children not to judge others by their appearance.
