This wonderful Australian Aboriginal Indigenous Resource pack, individually hand crafted in Australia from recycled timbers has been designed and developed by Indigenous artist, Graham Toomey, and hand-made by skilled members of the Gosford Men’s Shed, in conjunction with Gunawirra Children’s Resource Service.
The pack includes 28 pieces – 8 Stencil cut animals known as TOTEMS – kangaroo, emu, wombat, echidna, platypus, fish, turtle and snake, 10 labelled story blocks, 2 sets x clapping sticks, 2 x boomerangs, 2 x message boards and child-safe ochre face paint. One set of clap stick, massage boards and boomerangs are decorated in Aboriginal artwork. Teacher’s book includes traditional stories, blackline master animals for colouring in and guidelines for activities using the resources in a school or children’s service situation.
A fantastic resource for the kinaesthetic learner. Ideal for NAIDOC week.
